Tina Minkowitz is a survivor and a human rights lawyer, who is interested in thinking with others about reparations for psychiatric institutionalization. Responses to the questionnaire will inform her law and policy work on this issue. Every survivor who provides their email address will be invited to discuss further.
Reparation for violations of human rights and humanitarian law is recognized as an obligation of states in a resolution of the UN General Assembly, https://undocs.org/es/A/RES/60/147. The forms of reparation are satisfaction, guarantees of non-repetition, restitution, rehabilitation and compensation. This framework can be helpful for us in thinking about what we want and need as survivors.
Cuestionario para les sobrevivientes de la institucionalización psiquiátrica
Tina Minkowitz es una sobreviviente y abogada de derechos humanos que está interesada en reflexionar con otras personas sobre las reparaciones a causa de la institucionalización psiquiátrica. Questionnaire pour les personnes survivantes après institutionnalisation
Tina Minkowitz est une survivante et une avocate des droits de l’homme, qui porte un intérêt aux réflexions collectives au sujet des réparations qui sont dues à la suite des institutionnalisations psychiatriques. Les réponses à ce questionnaire fourniront des informations pour son travail juridique et de politiques à ce sujet. Chaque personne survivante qui aura communiqué son adresse email sera invitée à en discuter plus avant.
Les réparations pour les violations des droits de l’homme et du droit humanitaire sont reconnues comme une obligation des états dans la résolution de l’Assemblée générale des Nations Unies, dont le lien suit: https://undocs.org/A/RES/60/147. Tina Minkowitz ist Überlebende und Menschenrechtsanwältin und interessiert daran, mit anderen über Wiedergutmachungen für psychiatrische Institutionalisierung nachzudenken.
